friday fun fact

Friday Fun Fact

Well this week started out well and then Wednesday came around and the snot and coughing returned to my eldest. It is amazing how much mucus a small child can produce, within a matter of hours.

So apart from my two boys going through their little fighting and hugging thing that they seem to do all the time. I tell them to be careful and not to be to rough, then they go and hug it out!

This is actually the moment of my week. Here it has been raining a lot. On Monday i think it rained all day, so i went and picked up my eldest up from nursery. I was cold and very wet, so what do you do on a 20 minute walk home in the cold and the rain with a 4 year old?

You jump in ALL of the puddles big or small and the deeper the better! My son said to me 'oh no mummy my trousers are all wet' so we jumped in a bigger puddle and drenched the both of us!

I did however get a few different looks from other people. It was either people smiling wishing they could do the same or, it was people looking at me like I'm crazy jumping in puddles, well until they see I'm with my son.

It was good to have fun like i was a child to be carefree and trying to jump in the puddles first, my son is to fast and beat me all the time!

So when you are out next i dare you jump in a few puddles, it will be the best fun you have had in a while! Just maybe only do it on the way home....might be an explanation you do not want to tell your boss!

Friday Fun Fact

Friday Fun Fact

So I wanted to start a little series, that would be both be funny to read and, a lovely little way to make sure, there is at least one amazing moment each week that will serve as lasting memories. So some weeks there may only be one stand out moment and others there maybe a few! So please join me sharing your family fun facts of the week using #fridayfunfact

This week unfortunately we have been the house of coughs and colds. Luckily though we all seemed to recover enough, to go out and enjoy our eldest sons 4th birthday. This is what lead us to what I consider the fun fact of our week.

The back story is my son got a minion birthday cake, he didn't think you could get a cake in the shape of a minion. So to check it was real he literally bit in to it (yes the candles had been removed by this point). I guess there was no better quick way of knowing if it was really cake. However it did leave the minion with a rather wet sloppy eye! Which obviously was removed before the cake was eaten!

Yes nose and drool all over the minions eye and glasses

2017 - The Year Of Yes!!!!

2017 - The Year Of Yes!!!!

So here it is 2017....in fact it is January 2nd, and to say writing a blog is one of my resolutions, I think I am doing pretty well in that I'm starting it already!

I will introduce myself quickly so you have a little background on this new blog crossing your path (well here is hoping it is, or really this will just be a digital diary for my family and I.).

Hi I am Rebecca I am a 29 year old, married, stay at home mum. to 2 gorgeous boys age 4 and 1. Hence the name family fun of 4.

So the year of yes! Basically I have put off so much stuff since becoming a mum, both for myself and in some respects my family too. So this year I am determined to stop doing that, and start saying yes to the things I have put off.
This blog is one of them and possibly a Youtube channel, however this is something I am still plucking up the courage for. Never the less it is still on my list for this year. Its just, does anyone really want to listen to my voice, or see this face....or the biggest thing is do I really have enough to talk about, and share with the world when my world is oh so small! But alas, I shall cross that bridge WHEN (not if) I come to it!

The other resolutions I have we can delve deeper into at a later date.

So if you are feeling the same, and are fed up of putting off the things that you have really wanted to achieve, then turn 2017 in the year of yes. Put yourself and your family first. Do what makes you happy. Make it so you can look back at 2017 and feel like you accomplished at least one YES!!

So if you do stumble across my blog (possibly by mistake) please join me along my journey and see what 2017 has in store.
