Weekly Round-up

Weekly Round-up

This week has been very D.I.Y orientated and a lot of decision making.

Sunday: We got up early (because obviously that's what sane people do) and we headed to the car boot. I love a bargain, Dwaine got tools for his work, the boys got toys and general crap and I got exciting things like a Pina Colada Yankee Candle the large size for £10!! I also got a lovely cushion (see below).
Sorry not pictures of tools or toys because well they aren't that exciting!

After the car boot we had some D.I.Y to do because Dwaine had Saturday off work so got bored and decided to replace the manky disgusting carpet in the living room with laminate flooring! So Sunday afternoon was spent ripping that up and laying the new flooring. It looks amazing now, however I now need to decorate.

Monday: Spent on the phone to the hospital again to finally get a new date for Deacon's surgery (3rd November) which is the last day of his half term so he gets a month off school! Not bad for his first year hey!!

Tuesday: The dreaded top-up shop with the boys! We go once a week for fresh fruit and veg and bits we need. Food shopping in the holidays with 2 small children is a form of torture I am sure. Made even worse the fact there is a toy shop in the retail park!

Wednesday: Oh that day was THE LONGEST DAY EVER! Dwaine took his brother to pick up his new car all the way in Scarborough. So he didn't get back until late, today seemed like it was a week long.

Thursday: We made a den, that's a days entertainment in itself really. Who doesn't like a den?

Friday: A trip to the shops with the boys Great Gran (G.G) followed by baking a cake total mess. That's what baths are made for right?

Then before you know it, it is the weekend and bank holiday. And only one week left of the school holidays and I'm progressively feeling more and more sick as they days go by.
How was you week?!

Weekly round up

Weekly Round-up

Well this week has been busy, busy, busy. Well last weekend to Wednesday has been non stop.
We enjoyed and family weekend with catching up on jobs in the house to car boots on Sunday.
Monday we spent most of the day out at the Hospital with Deacon for his ECG and heart scan. (I will do a whole post about it)

Tuesday we had a few errands to do in town, setting up bank account for the boys as their old ones were opened by my grandparents.
There was a fair on in town so naturally the boys needed to go on the rides.
We got more Christmas and birthday presents. Yes we are nearly done with the boys presents for both occasions.

Wednesday was a boring trip to Aldi for a top up on shopping which also consists of the boys trying to by a shops worth of sweets.

Thursday sorting out the house (yawn), and playing pokemon because its real don't you no! We have pokemon all over our house.

Friday we finished off chores and and bought cake, which will go perfectly with a cup of tea to round the week off, and prepare us for the weekend!

Weekly round-up!

Weekly Round-up!

This week has been an exhausting one! I think I have spent half of it on a phone, TRYING to get answers! The other half has been cleaning, playing with the children and our wedding anniversary.

We decided to up date our pots and pans, and our plates and well basically a lot of the kitchen. However it meant the cupboards needed sorting and the contents moving.
Which has been great as it has created more spaces. However we got all the stuff on Sunday so most of the organising fell on my head, the Husband planned that one perfectly didn't he!

Obviously it is the summer holidays, so OBVIOUSLY the British summer time decided to go on holiday too and left us with rain and gloom. Which OBVIOUSLY makes entertaining two young children an doddle...NOT!
So I have played catching pretend Pokemon and had my hair ripped out about 654321 times.

Wednesday was our 3rd wedding anniversary. I truly got spoilt this year with a lovely Pandora bracelet . However Dwaine did say that he only did I so he no longer needs to thing of presents for me, he can just buy me a charm!

Then the rest of the week has been taken up with constant phone calls. Our eldest son Deacon who is 4 has to have his tonsils out because, he has Obstructive Sleep Apnoea. He had an ECG test done on the 2nd August. We heard back later that day that he needs referring to the Cardiologist. We haven't been told anything about his ECG results. So I had to chase them up, but we still got no answers, luckily we have been given an appointment for Monday 14th August. I will probably do another post all about is health.

So all in all it has been a very homely week, my phone took a hammering and my kids play the same game 654321 times a day.
